Educational Qualifications

• Non–ITI Category Candidates must have passed Madhyamik (Class X or equivalent) as of the application closing date.
• A minimum of 50% marks is required as per the criteria of the concerned Board (based on the original marksheet).
• Candidates must have at least 40% marks in both Mathematics and Science.
• ITI Category Candidates should have passed a relevant trade test from any institute recognized by the NCVT, SCVT, or other authorities specified by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship/Ministry of Labour and Employment. The duration must comply with the Trade Apprentices Act of 1961.
  • A minimum of 50% marks in the ITI examination is required.
  • Relevant trades will be based strictly on Schedule I of the Apprentice Act of 1961 and available vacancies in the Ordnance and Ordnance Equipment Factories.
• Candidates must also have passed Madhyamik (Class X or equivalent) with at least 50% marks.

Age Limits

• The minimum age for apprentices is 14 years.
• The minimum age is 18 years for designated trades related to hazardous industries.
• The upper age limit for all categories is 35 years, as per the Apprentice Act, 1961, and the National Apprentice Promotion Scheme-2 (NAPS–2) issued by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship.

Selection Process

• Selection will be based on merit and the choice of Ordnance Factory submitted by the candidate.
• A separate merit list will be prepared for the NON-ITI and EX-ITI categories.
• The merit list for the NON–ITI category will be based on the overall percentage of marks in Madhyamik or equivalent (Class X).
• Candidates must submit the original mark sheet of their Madhyamik Board (Class X or equivalent).
• In the case of CGPA/GPA grading, candidates must convert their grades into percentages according to their board’s criteria.
